According to the 2022 Regional Economic Development Guide put out by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, the Nashville region has consistently ranked in the top 5% of all metro areas in the country over the last five years for job growth. According to the Labor and Workforce Development organization, the statewide unemployment is 3.2%, the lowest in State history. The preliminary statistics for the Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro-Franklin area for March 2022 were 2.4% and April 2.5%.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY

Franklin, TN

Williamson County is located southwest of the city of Nashville and combines a small-town feel and quiet rural countryside. According to the 2020 United States Census, the population was 247,726. Williamson is home to Franklin, Brentwood, and Spring Hill, some of the most popular towns. Williamson is seen as one of the nation’s fastest-steady job growth rateTennessee’s inc. 5000 companies. Some of the county’s largest employers outside of state and local employees are United Health Care, Nissan Americas, Mitsubishi, and HCA Healthcare. 

WILSON COUNTY

You will find Wilson County located to the east of the city of Nashville. Some larger towns in Wilson are Lebanon, Mt. Juliet, and Watertown. Wilson County has a population of just over 145,000 people, experiencing over a 15% increase since 2015. Companies that call Wilson County home are Amazon, the headquarters of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, and CEVA Logistics, per the Nashville Business Journal. 

MAURY COUNTY

Maury County falls about an hour south of the city of Nashville and is made up of towns such as Spring Hill, Columbia, and Mount Pleasant. Per the 2020 US Census, the county has a population of over 100,000 people. Some major employers outside the county’s government include General Motors, Maury Regional Medical Center, and the Tennessee Farm Bureau.
