7AM-5PM – Monday- Thursday, Friday 7AM-3:15PM (some flexibility) Specific duties will include but are not limited to: The ability to read blueprints, specifications, understand tolerances, and dimensions. Develop and maintain estimating standards and procedures with focus on continuous improvement strategies. Review project documents and understand scope of work for pricing and bids. Prepare cost analysis for material, machining (mills, lathes, routers, saws) and assembly labor, equipment, subcontractors/outside machine shops, profit and overhead incurred per project. Evaluate as needed cost estimates versus actual costs incurred. Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc. Evaluate outside vendors, and secure quotes from outside vendors as needed, for materials, labor, lead times Focus on efficiencies to reduce cost and waste, while meeting or exceeding quality standards. Provide technical support to team and/or customer as needed. Works collaboratively, engaging partners to resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information, and providing a solution. Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information. Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Fielding calls and emails from customers who may be looking for new products, replacement products, etc. Working in partnership with inside and outside sales teams., including frequent communication with Cimtech’s business development manager. Assist Quality Manager with inspection of raw materials and other items as needed. Safety first – follow safe work methods and adherence to safety protocol, including personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in a machine or manufacturing environment. Two years estimating experience, in a similar environment, required. Familiarity with CNC operations, programming or welding preferred. Basic computer knowledge. Math skills, calculation. Ability to read blueprints Experience with CAD/CAM software preferred. Ability to lift 25 lbs safely, walk and stand for long periods of time, bend and lift product as needed. Drug Free Workplace and Certified Minority & Women Owned Business in Indiana (WBE).
